is the President and CEO of GEC and manager of the Macon branch office. Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and has over thirty-four years of experience in the geotechnical, environmental and construction materials testing fields. Tom is a member of the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE), the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and the Macon Board of Realtors Commercial Council. He is a Past President of the Macon Chapter of ASCE, past president of the GSPE Middle Georgia Branch, a past statewide President of GSPE, and has been Regional Vice-president and on the Board of Directors for CEC/GA. Tom was named the 1992 Young Engineer of the Year and the 1996 Professional Engineer of the Year in Private Practice by GSPE. Tom is on the Mercer University National Engineering Advisory Board (NEAB). Tom is also a Board Member of Capital City Bank,past member of the Tubman Museum, the Macon Chamber of Commerce, and is a past board President for the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. Tom is also on the Navicent Health Facilities Committee and is a member of Rotary International. Tom is a registered Professional Engineer in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
