GEC is a member of the Georgia Brownfield Association and an avid advocate for the Georgia Brownfield Program. As such, GEC works closely with developers and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Brownfield Division Project Managers to responsibly clean up, develop, and reuse properties where contamination is known or suspected to be present. The Brownfield Program represents a key factor in the revitalization of communities where blight is present and redevelopment is hindered. The Brownfield Program also provides important incentives to developers via intelligent and expedited processing through the Program, providing crucial tax incentives to reimburse investments in clean-up costs, and granting a limitation of liability to developers and stakeholders upon reaching clean-up goals.

GEC’s experienced staff is always available to provide information and to assist interested parties through Georgia’s excellent Brownfield Program.
