GEC annually conducts Phase I ESAs throughout the southeast, primarily in Georgia, on new projects or apartment complexes slated for renovation. Assessments include ASTM E 1527-2000 Environmental Site Assessment Process plus additional non-ASTM scope items when appropriate, including asbestos, radon, lead in drinking water, lead-based paint, flood plain and wetlands analyses, and other conditions such as archaeological and historical potential, as necessary to complete federal HOME and HUD 4128 Form funding requirements. Many of these projects are funded through the Department of Community Affairs Affordable Housing program. GEC performs all studies necessary to meet the needs of the project in all cases.
