Swift Spinning Mills
This project consisted of a 500 to 600,000 ft2 manufacturing plant on a 92-acre greenfield site in Columbus, Georgia. GEC provided all geotechnical and construction quality control testing services for the project. The Osborne Company was the contractor and GEC’s client for the work performed. Special construction considerations included site dewatering, undercutting, soil stabilization, and settlement monitoring of a large fill embankment. The facility is ultimately designed for a total of 1,000,000 ft2 of manufacturing space under the roof.
